WrestleMania 42 drew 106,072 fans across two nights at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The event became one of the highest-grossing events in WWE history, the company announced on Wednesday.
WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, reported record or near-record performances across gate revenue, sponsorship, merchandise, WWE World, On Location VIP experiences, and digital platforms. The event also generated more than 1.3 billion views across all social media platforms, setting a new digital record and surpassing the previous mark from WrestleMania 41 by 18 percent.
Tickets were purchased from all 50 states and more than 69 countries.
Main Event Results
The two-night event at Allegiant Stadium was highlighted by Roman Reigns defeating CM Punk in the Sunday night main event to claim the World Heavyweight Championship. On Saturday night, Cody Rhodes retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton despite early interference by Pat McAfee.
Record Sponsorship and ESPN Viewership
WrestleMania 42 featured a record 32 marketing partners, including Snickers, 2K, Riyadh Season, Ram, DoorDash, Wingstop, Wheatley American Vodka, Minute Maid, The General Insurance, PepsiCo’s MUG Root Beer, and Chumba Casino.
On the broadcast side, WrestleMania Saturday was the most-viewed telecast of the year on ESPN2, while WrestleMania Sunday was the most-viewed telecast of the entire weekend on ESPN.
WWE World Hits All-Time Highs
WWE World, a five-day interactive fan experience held in partnership with Fanatics, reached all-time highs in paid experience sales. The event also featured a dedicated lounge for attendees who signed up for Club WWE, the company’s recently announced Gold membership experience for fans.
WrestleMania 42 fallout continues on Raw and SmackDown this week. Roman Reigns’ post-WrestleMania championship path is already taking shape as WWE builds toward its summer schedule.
